Sunday was my sons fourth birthday and what a great time he had.
He woke up and it was pressie time, he loved every moment of it and now it isn't the boxes he wants to play with.
Once all that was done we got him dressed and he helped with making the cakes for his party, he then wnet back playing with his toys as we finished preparing the rest of the food.
So once we were all ready we went to the local sports centre and met up with his friends for some tobogoning. there were about 15 children in total and letting them loose on a ski slope was the best idea we have had. They all started about 1/4 the way up the slope but then got braver and braver as time went on, watching 4/5 yr olds shooting past is one of the funniest things ever, some have these scared looking faces others with big smiles from ear to ear. I even had a couple of goes myself and loved it, I want to be doing this for my next birthday but with beers included.
After the tobogoning we had a small party in one of the rooms, just to feed the kids on e numbers before we send them home.
Once that little party was over we went to his his nans to open even more presents and to have birthday cake. Once home we had dinner and he opned the presents what he got from his friends, even more toys are now taking up the front room, really do need to clear his old toys out now.
Monday was just a normal day and in the evening when my son finally gone to sleep I went up to my room to faff about a bit, it was about 11pm and I decided that I wanted a cig, but instead of going all the way downstairs I opened the skylight and lent out of it, sparked it took a drag and heard "What are you doing, I can't believe you"
She had come upstairs and caught me having a cig out of the window, I felt like I had been caught out by my mum, she then accueses me that I do this all the time and that is why I have my windows open all the time, I tried to tell her that wasn't the reason but it fell on deaf ears, so from now on it will be the long walk outside.
Think I am really going to have to start looking for a new place for myself.
So I had my interviews last week and they seemed to go really well.
Interview 1a Wednesday 13th 1pm
This was for roughly an hour and I was interviewed by two colleagues that I already work with. When i found this out I thought it would be easy, then when i thought more about it, they already know what I do so there can be no padding out of things I have done in the past in this role.
So we went throught the interview questions which I answered well, I thought I did anyway, then there were some technical questions to go through. In the years that I have bene owrking in It I have never had to do one of these before, so was a bit nervous, I answered what I could and didn't try and blag any I couldn't. I felt it had gone quite well after that.
Interview 1b
This was with my boss and for about half and hour. She has currently moved on in the company but as her role is still to be filled she is still doing her old job to. This one, to me, went better that I thought it would and I managed to get my answers across clearly and without mumbling.
Interview 2 Thursday 14th 1pm
This was with HR. Before when I have gone for jobs the interview has been done by either HR or the manager/boss, so having two interviews was quite different for me. HR one went well as they asked the normal, why do you want to work for this company, tell me about your past jobs etc, so wasn't to taxing on the brain, once done they went through all the perks that can be had with this company and all look quite good.
So overall they went well and I should hear something back next week some time (fingers crossed it is good news).
Friday 15th
Went in to town to do some shopping for my sons birthday, just getting food bits for the party as the main bit has already been sorted.
Whilst shopping my son wanted to listen to some music so I gave him my phone, he then decided that he wanted to take some picutres, so I put the camera on and below are the results.

I think these, perhaps, are the best set of photos I have ever seen! They really capture a child's perspective of the world and far, far better than a professional photographer ever could!
Thank Miss. I was a bit wary at first as i thought what if he drops it, but then realsied, what does it matter.
He had a few other shots but they included a few of mum and dad as well of himself. I would be happy to email them to you though if you wanted to have a look.
IT
I remember getting caught out with the cig thing by my dad and I stupidly dotted it in the wall outside the window and it landed on his head, he moved very quickly up the stairs..I can't believe someone can be so selfish but then I would say that I am a smoker..
Good luck with interviews and what fantastic pics it puts a whole different persepective on what they see and what we see..xx
