Update
The gf text me and said why can't he get a bus train etc so I said I didn't think there was any, I checked national express and they have a service boxing day, had a look and they have a bus that leaves at 22:30 from London Victoria and gets in at 00:10 at Canterbury, my brother can now get home, I can drink and no arguments at home now.
I have phoned my mum and she is going to get him to book it all etc and I have said that if they are sold out then I will pick him up, so from my mum side there is no arguments and I am the good son again even though I have passed off picking him up, I make the gf feel good as it was her idea and I fell happy as I can now drink.
Have a great Christmas and and see you in the New Year

Brother's a pain part 2
Brother's are a pain
Two days ago I got a call from my brother asking if I could pick him up from the airport, not a problem i thought, but kept my mouth shut whilst he told me the time and day, 26th December 20:00 hrs, 8 o' bloody clock boxing day night, I told him that I couldn't as we have the gf's family coming round. Last night the phone rings and its my mum, she makes a bit of smnall talk asking how my son is, if I had finished up at work yet etc etc then she says, you know why I'm really calling don't you, soon as she said that it clicked, she is asking me if I can pick my brother up, I was in the middle of bathing my son, so passed the phone to him to talk to his grandma whilst I thought about it, I then spoke to her a little more and told her i would phone her today and tell her the answer, but i don't know the answer yet.
I spoke to the gf yesterday about it and she said "its not your problem" and I sort of agree, if my brother had chosen an earlier time no probs or a different day. So I am in two minds on what to tell my mum, I checked trains and there are none on boxing day down to kent and I very much doubt there will be any buses/coaches and a taxi will be at least £200 I would have thought.

Planning
I have started phase one of my plan.
As you are aware me and the gf have/had problems and to me and also to you things don't look like they will resolve themselves, so I have a sort of plan mapped in my head. I had been planning ages ago to speak to my mum to see if she could lend me some money for if/when i move out and I had written a draft email to send which sat in my drafts for a couple of months. After last week and things getting heated between us again I knew I had to start making steps in case the inevitable happens. I looked at the email and re wrote it Monday so it made more sense, I then left it in my drafts hoping that I wouldn't have to send it, but Monday night when I got in, the gf was cooking dinner and as I was starving I picked up a chicken ball from the nights before takeaway and she had a go at me for it like I was a kid, so when I got in to the office yesterday I sent the email to my mum, knowing that times are hard, expecting it to say that things were tight their end, but she emailed me back and has said yes.
I now will have a deposit for a new flat/house to rent and also for some white goods/furniture and also my mum will be acting as guarantor for me, as with my credit record shot due to the bankruptcy I know this will be the only way for me to get a place. This isn't the road I wanted to go down but unless things pick up, which I can't see happening, I need to get my life back.
I'm not sure what phase two of my plan is yet but have a rough idea.

Brighton
On the 14th of this month me and the gf drove to Brighton to see the Mighty Boosh at the Brighton Centre, the tickets for the show had been booked by her mum and she also paid for one night at the hotel and I thought it would be nice to spend an extra night there so I booked and sorted the arrangements on the sly, until I opened my mouth about a week before and told the gf about it.
The plan was to have nothing to stick to, so plans etc were out of the window and it was just for us to relax and see what takes our fancy, which I thought was a great idea that the gf had come up with, the only snag is that we first had to leave home and I wanted to do this around 12pm. I am all packed and the gf is faffing around so I clean the kitchen up and make it tidy for when we get back, she then is almost ready and I moan saying that I would like to leave now, her answer, we aren't on a schedule, ok so I let it lie. We leave the house about 12:30/12:45 and go to her mums to drop off our sons clothes and car seat and all the rest of the stuff he needs, we are offered a tea to which I politely say no to, but the gf goes ahead anyway, so we have a brew and the gf and mum chat away whilst I am still looking at my watch, I finish my tea and say its now time to go, the gf looks at me with the look but decides that maybe it would be a good idea, so we leave her mums about 1:30pm. From where I live the drive is about 2 hours and I want to be there before rush hour as i know that Brighton can get snarled up and I am not exactly sure where abouts in Brighton we are gong apart from its on the seafront. the gf did a great job of being navigator even of the instructions we had were crappy but we had fun finding our way. We had a pit stop about a 3rd of the way in the journey as we both needed a pee and I needed a smoke, once we were back on form off we went. The journey itself wasn't bad and traffic was that heavy and we made it in good time, we got to the hotel about half 3 where I parked outside so I could run in and find out about parking, at reception they said we could park on the road where it costs about £1 an hour from 9-6 or we could park in the multi storey car park and they would arrange for a taxi to pick us up, this sounded like a good plan and as the taxi would be free I thought I would save a couple of quid, so we head of to the marina where I go straight past it and see it disappearing behind us, luckily we can to a round about and we headed back, as we get closer though I see a taxi on the top floor, realising this was probably ours, I put my foot down and get to the car park but the taxi has gone. We park up and sit there for about 5 mins just in case another taxi comes, but it doesn't, so I phone the hotel again and they arrange another taxi for us with no hassle, we get to the hotel and check in and go to our room.
The room wasn't bad and had all the mod cons, I made us a cup of tea and we sat an unwound for a bit then I went for a shower, I have only been in one wet room before which wasn't to bad, but this one, the shower head was massive and the water lovely and hot, the idea of not being enclosed with freedom to move was great and I spent about 20mins in there just enjoying the moment. The gf just sat down and watch some TV and when i got out we got ready to go out, even though me coming out of the shower was hoping to put her in the mood, but i think food was more on her mind as we hadn't had lunch and she hadn't bothered with breakfast, so off we went looking for food, we only went a few yards down the road and found a sit in chippy, the other half doesn't like restaurants that much, so we eat in there headed back to the hotel and got ready for going out to see the Mighty Boosh. The show was very good even though is wasn't along the lins of the first one we had seen live, this one concentrated more on them as a band with musical scenes, all very well done and funny, but I was so of left waiting for the main show to begin. There were a couple of unplanned laughs though, on was when Noel Fielding was Tony Harrison and to do it he has to sit inside a sofa, after about five minutes his legs must have started hurting as the next thing you see, is him almost falling out of the chair, but he kept it going even though he was laughing alot. after the show we headed back to the hotel and sat and chatted for a while and the gf watched Children in need, so I went to sleep.
Saturday morning i woke and the gf was still sleeping so I caught up on some reading and listened to my ipod, when she did finally stir I made us a cup of tea and we got ready to go out and find somewhere for breakfast, I had a shower before leaving but there had been a problem with the water so i had a lukewarm one and the gf also had one where I helped to wash her down, once again thinking this may lead to something, without trying it on, but no again, so i was a little disheartened but carried on as normal. we headed in to The Lanes about 11ish and wandered round seeing what cafes or restaurants were open, we saw quite a few bars and pubs opened but they were serving lunch food and we really wanted to a fry up, eventually we found a little cafe/restaurant that was very nice and not that expensive and a slap up meal all round was served. Afterwards we went for a stroll through town and found somewhere we were going to eat in the evening, we found loads of shops but I wasn't really in the shopping mood, but when i did decide to look at something we had to leave as she couldn't find anything she liked. after looking around for a while the gf wanted to go back to the hotel which we did and we vegged out for a while and chatted and snoozed.
When we had both woken, we went out for dinner at Old Orleans, I had eaten at one before and remember the food being quite good, so we skipped the starter and went straight for the main, which was a good thing as the portions were massive, I went for the Rib eye and the gf had roasted chicken. We had a couple of drinks whilst we ate and had a nice time, on the way back we had a look in a shop window of somewhere we thought we might visit the next day when I noticed that there was an ally, which led us to where we wanted to be to cross the road back to the hotel, we just laughed as both times we had come in to town we had spent about 15 mins wandering around looking lost, trying to find where we had been. On the way back we took a walk along the Pier, even though it was a bit chilly, we thought why not, so that took about 20 mins also the gf got wolf whistled by a couple of lads, but we just chuckled and carried on. Once back in the hotel, we sat in the bar and had a drink and borrowed a couple of DVDs, I watched the first one with her and then tried to watch the second but fell asleep.
Sunday morning was leaving time, so we showered and got all of our stuff ready, checked out and got another free taxi to pick out car up, where we had parked on the Marina, they have built an outlet village as well as an ASDA, Casino, Nightclub and bars. we loaded the car up and drove down a few levels of the multi storey and parked up and went to find breakfast again, we had a look at the places that were open but they were empty, I spotted Cafe Rouge and it seemed busy in there, so guessed that they did ok breakfast and in we went. We had a nice breakfast, me for the fry up and the gf had scrambled egg and salmon. We had to see what shops were on offer and there wasn't anything that exciting, they were either closing down or already closed down, so we headed back to the car and started our journey home, which was a quite a bit longer that it was getting there. There was one accident just as we wanted to leave Brighton so we had to detour around that, then there was an accident in Hastings and as it was on the only road in and out there was nothing we could but wait, this tried my patients a bit as all I wanted as a cuppa and a cig, but about two half/three hours later we were back at her mums and my wish was granted.

Coming or Going
I've had quite a busy week.
Week ago Saturday we had fireworks at the inlaws and we had a large gathering and loads of fireworks. We had to cut the display short though as some bright spark (sorry) decided that it would be a good idea to take a lot of the fireworks outside so that it would be easy to set them up and replace the used ones, this would have been ok if it wasn't a drizzly evening. After we had done about half the fireworks we went inside to get some food but as I was just going inside I felt the rain starting a bit so I covered the rest of the fireworks as best I could. Once we had eaten we went out for the rest of the display but it was very disappointing though as a lot of the fireworks were just to wet to light and we cut it short but just using what was left in the house, luckily I had the left the really large one that I had got from the Wednesday fireworks in doors and we used that for the big final and I have to say I wasn't disappointed by it.
Monday saw me rushing home to see the family and spending some time with my son before I headed out of the door to go and see the zutons, they played a blinder of a set and I have to say I was blown away by it, I managed to get some pics as I was right at the front, it being a small venue it wasn't hard to do.

The Witches are burning
Well not quite but thought I woudl write up about halloween and bonfire night.
So Friday night i took my son and his friend out trick or treating, him dressed as a Vampire and his friend dressed as a witch (not cross dressing it was a girl). We pounded the streets of our neighbour hood for about an hour and the amount of sweets they got was amazing. There are a few houses in our street that really like to go all out, two in particular had an open door invite and the kids were allowed to just wonder in and see what was going on, the outside of the houses were also decorated really well, some other houses tried to make an efffort and were very friendly when we knocked on the doors. A few of the houses did have signs saying no trick or treaters please, which I though was fair enough and we left them alone, there was also another house we went to, where they just said no thanks, we thanked them and left with no problems.
Last night I had to get some fireworks as my son must have been talking at school about guy fawkes and bonfire night. It really shocked me when I foudn out he wanted to do them tonight was all the past fireworks night he has been so scared, either just watching them in a garden, an event or just hearing them when he is in his bed. He used to come out screaming if he was in his bed and he would get in to bed with us, but this year he seems to have got used to them or they just aren't bothering him as much. My orders were to just buy a few and we would see how he was with them, but asking a man to just buy a few fireworks is not going to happen, but i didn't go OTT, I went to Sainsbury and had a lok at their selection, the little boxes had gone, there was a £20 box and then a £40 box, I was tempted to get the later but thought better of it and also funds, so I got the £20 set which contained 25 fireworks but also as it was buy one get one free but instead of getting another box I got this massive roman candle thing, it is not something that you stick in the ground as you would have to dig a massive hole, this thing looks like it should only be given for professional firework nights. I had a quick read of it and it says you have to be 25 metres away when it is going off, now my garden isn't that big but i thought what the heck anyway. So I get home and the gf just looks at me then the fireworks then back at me, so I tell here that this was the only size set left or there was a bigger selection and that the roman candle came free, she just laughed and said fine. My son was looking at me and I could tell that he wanted to do the fireworks straight awaybut we had told him i would do them after football with him, but he looked so sad as I had time I told him we can do them before I go to football, he just had a massive smile of his face with that news.
Out I go in to the garden to set up some of our fireworks and my son is looking out and sees fireworks coming from his friends house and just watches them which was great as before he would have ran crying in to the house, I set some of ours off and he is loving it, the gf then gets some sparklers out and my son was very nervous of these but he got used to them and started writing his name. I lite most of the fireworks and he seemed to enjoy all of them, I then had to leave for football. I left the big firework as the gf's mum is having some fireworks saturday and i will take it there, hopefully my son will be fine there to.

Time passes...
Tuesday I had been on the phone to the gf when she told me some of the things my son had been up to, "just this and that, oh and he swallowed 5p", I asked her how and she tells me that it just happened, so I asked my son and he doesn't know either, he told me he hadn't put it in his mouth as I have told him off for doing this before. I told the gf not to worry and its one of those things that happens to kids and it should come out sooner or later.
So fast forward to this morning and I am having my morning wee and notice something in the bottom of the toilet, I give it a flush to get a better look and it was the magic 5p, I let the gf know as she hadn't even notice and then my son just laughed and wondered how it had come out, so this morning I gave a quick biology lesson to a almost 5 year old, now I wasn't very good at biology (we didn't even have it as a separate subject at school and was just classed as science, so I gave it to him in layman's terms. I explained that what you put in your mouth then goes to your stomach (unless your trixie it goes in your nose) then what your body can't use comes out in your poo, he just laughed but I think he got it which was great.

The Witches are coming
This week has been quite quiet for me, just the normal of going to work and then home again.
Over the weekend we went to a wedding reception of someone we know, it wasn't all bad and we had a few drinks and a few laughs. there was one bloke there that had been there all day and was plastered when we turned up at half 7, he had had a couple of bottles of win to himself and I can only guess at what else, at one point one of the bridemaids made him sit with us and brought him over a jug of iced water and a pint glass and told him to drink it, which he did. further in to the night I was at the bar and he was trying to knock some rebulls down, but they didn't have the desired effect and he stayed very drunk, about an hour later, the gf asked where he was and i told her i had no idea, we did a mini patrol for him and couldn't find him, i just told her that he has probably just taken himself off home, she got a bit worried about him and I told her not to worry. Its ok, he managed to get home as he was at the sports centre yesterday playing football. After the wedding we went back to a friends house and had chinese and a drink, I fell alseep and that put paid to that so we went home.
Sunday we did a lot of tooing and throughing from our house to the gf's mum's house, then to town then back home to do some baking then back to the inlaws. The reason for all of this was that it was the youngest birthday and we were having a mini party for him, with some party food from asda, home baked cookies and muffins made by the gf. I managed to sneak out to the pub at lunch time and watch Liverpool beat Chelsea (only been about 4 years since the reds have done it at stamford bridge but well done to them). In the evening we played a boys vs girls game and had some food and a good laugh all round.
This week my son has two parties to go to and is also going to the zoo, which I will know he will love, he is already looking forward to tomorrow night and trick or treating, so for him at least everything is going well and for me, its just plodding along.
Have a good halloween

tick Tock
Things seem to be going smoothly at home at the moment, we haven't had any big arguments and I am trying a couple of suggestions that the lady at relate mentioned.
The one I am trying is trying to arrange things to do at the weekend as a family when the gf is not working, at the moment it isn't being very successful, but this is because things have already been planned or my son has had parties to go to, the week just gone he had three birthday parties to go to and next week he has another two, he has a busier social life than me. He always seems to be invited to whoever is having a party, I think that it is because he is so likable and friendly with all the other children at his school and also his pre school friends that he still keeps in contact with. One of the gripes that the gf had was that we didn't do things as a family, so we are going to sit down and figure out things we can do, even if it is just going for a walk along the beach or just taking him to the park. This weekend and that past week not much has really happened, just been busy at work and trying to get things running correctly, at home still cooking dinner when needed and doing the odd bits of cleaning etc.
I can't wait till the 31st so that I can take my son trick or treating, last year was his first time and he loved it and is looking forward to it this year again, I will probably put him in what he wore last year but at least it might fit him this time.
Last weekend the gf's brother had my son overnight and we went out of a quick slap up meal at table table, afterwards we went home and vegged on the sofa cuddling up, it was nice as I felt close to her again and hope that it will be many more to come. we have a weekend booked away on the 14th November as we are going to see the The Mighty Boosh in Brighton, we had booked a night (well I have booked a night) at Drakes Hotel, this was paid for by her mum as a birthday present but i have been sneaky and have asked her mum to have our son for an extra day and night so we can spend two nights away, without telling the gf. I am not setting my expectations at anything but fingers crossed this will give her time to let her hair down and relax. Take a look at the hotel, it looks great.

Post RELATE
Well I went to RELATE on my own and I only wish that the gf had been there. There was not much that the relate counsular could help with, she has given me some ideas that I need to mull over, but she said that is I do go back that she would like my gf to come to as she is only seeing my side of the story and with that can't get the whole picture.
Before I went the gf gave me back the engagement ring that I had brought her a few years back, I'm not sure what she wanted me to do with it so I have zipped it up in my wallet for now. She was adement that she wasn't coming and when I told her I had her brother coming to babysit in case she changed her mind, she went off on one asking if I had told him where I was going, I told her I hadn't and she cancelled him, this seemed to mean to me that she was cancelling us. I'm not sure what I am gong to do now as one of the texts I had from her during the day was ""You really don't get this do you. The only way of saving us is by not going" I sent a reply "No it's not. We have spent 4yrs going round in circles and I want us to get through this", her reply "We are not going to get through this" my last reply was "How do you know if you don't try?"
And try she didn't, the counsualr said that by the looks of it there was no one point as to why it wasn't working but also by the looks of it, things aren't treated equally in the relationship, she gave me some tips of how to tackle some of the isuues that I face, like the gf telling me she wants us to do stuff as a family etc, she also said though at the same time this could be the end of it all, but without the gf being there, there was no firm answer. I'm not sure if I am going to go back by myself again and not sure if I can be bothered trying anymore, I thik the email to my mum to see if she can lend me some money might be sent soon.

Relating
got in Friday after work and the gf tells me there is a message from relate on the answer phone, great I say, then she says "well your not going are you?", I wasn't sure what I was supposed to say, so told her I would be thinking about it.
Over the weekend as the weather was crap we didn't really do much, we had a lazy morning Saturday, with the gf getting up later than us as she had bene out for a couple of drinks the night before. Once dressed I took my son swimming as she went and talked to her friend at work about a youth club my gf is working on. after swimming we went home and as we were stuffed from having a late lunch we only had a snack for dinner, we then sat down and watched merlin. I am still not sure if I like this programme yet, but I think it is growing on me, once finished we got a supply of snacks and drink and all settled down to watch Indiana Jones and the crystal Skull, well my son fell alseep watching it as he was so tired and when it was finished I was very glad, it wasn't what I was expecting and was just rubbish, why did lucas have to go and do that to a great franchise, Jones is all about arctifacts and treasure hunting, not bloody aliens, there were more Aliens in this than there was in the X-files film I saw at the cinema. Sunday was another lazy morning and I did the washing up and then helped my son with his letters and wrods that he got from school, butwith him being tired, he got bored quite quickly.
We went to the gf's brothers gfs for sunday lunch which made a nice change to what we normally do and we had roast lamb and all the trimmings, which is what I normally leave behind as I only really eat the meat, potatoes and yourkshire pud's, I am a fusser eater, afterwards whilst the kids were playing with each other we had a game of scrabble wher eI managed to come thrid, which out of four people I didn't think was to bad ;o)
this morning I woke and decided that I would go to the relate meeting and as I had to ring by ten I text the gf to see if she would be coming, the answer was no no and again no. After some texts back and forth I think she will be ending the relationship as this is what she has threatend again today, no matter as I am still going to go and at least I will get some help even if it is just for myself.
I have no idea what to expect from this session and am not sure what I want to get from it and this morning I was trying to guess what the questions might be and then trying to answer them, I decided this was the wrong way to go and besides that is what I am paying them to do. I have about 2 hours at home before the appointment so depending on how it goes ther eI guess will help me determine what questions I might want to ask.
Thanks for putting up with my little burble of words above and I hope they made sense, see you on the flip side

Can you Relate?
So I have got myself on the waiting list for RELATE, hopefully it won't be to far in the distance. I told the gf about it and she told me that if i go then it is over between us, i'm not sure how serious she means this but if thats the case then at least RELATE will be able to help me with the moving on process. I am hoping that it is just taking time for the idea of relate to sink in to the gf and its just a knee jerk reaction on her part.
I guess the proof will be in the pudding when relate send or leave a message on the phone, as if the gf asks about it I will tell her, I have had enough of her trying to dicate what we can and can't do in the relationship. Last week was a so so week and nothing much really happened, during the week I had the usual talk about the lack of sex and this went down like a lead balloon thens when I booked relate and when I told her about it she went off on one saying we don't need it, I won't go, if you go its over, so I left that conversation as it was.
Friday I had to take my son to school as the gf was not really with it as she was having problems with her wisdom tooth coming through and had kept her up most of the night, it also made her cheek swell so she looked like a gerbil. Once I had dropped him off i was coming through town when i had to stop at a zebra crossing, as I did this though, someone went in to the back of my car, there was no real damage to my bumber, being an older BMW and being built like a brick shit house, but his, a rover, seems to do quite some damage to his front bumper. I took my car to the garage after work just to make sure nothing major had bene broken and they gave it the all clear.
Saturday was a bit of a lazy day, i got up and did my washing and got my son breakfast, we then played out oin the garden for a while and he heard his friend out in his garden, so off he went to play with him and bag himself a scooter for £5, he has wanted one for ages and his friend had to and his dad asked if my son would like it, my son started nodding like the churchill dog, so I said yes, he was just going to give it to us, but i asked how much and he said give me a fiver. I told my son that he has to pay for it and i would get the money from his piggy bank, his reply "yeah, sure". after playing out the front for a while as we had had a power cut the three boys went and played the wii for a while, my sons friend got upset though when his dad beat him at a game and really started bawling his eyes out, so his dad took him off and we left and the gf and I took my son to the park to try out his scooter and ride his bike.
Sunday was a slow begining and just cleaning the house as we were having the gf's brothers gf's daughter over as they had gone away for the weekend. The girls turned up about half 11 so they played in the garden for a while, we then took them out the front so that they could ride the bike, scooter and ther electric quad bike. Once they got board and i was tired after chasing them and making sure they were staying on the path we made them lunch which went down well for my son and the youngest (2yrs I think), the third, same age as my son, was complaining of tummy ache so went and sat in the front room for a while. The oldest girl and my son then played for a while, whilst the youngest was so tired that she just couldn't get comfortable, we eventually got her to sleep in my sons chair, under her jacket, blanket and her teddies, she was sound alseep and slept for about 2 and ahalf hours. Her mum got to ours about 5ish with her bf whilst we were eating our dinner, so they stayed for a cuppa, but the girls were to excited to eat now that mummy was back. When they left I made my son sit on the sofa without talking, made the gf sit down and chilled for 5 mins, I now know why 1 child is enough, it was great having them, but the peace when they left was so much better.
after we had tidied up, it was time for my son to go to bed, he had a story read to him on the sofa and passed out quite quickley. Once i had put him to bed I went upstairs and did my ironing which I had put off for about 2 weeks and also put a film on. Once all done i went downstairs to see the gf and as it was getting late and we were both tired we went to bed, i started looking for a book to read as I wasn't quite ready to go to bed when she leans over me to help, as she does this I gently rub her shoulders and lets say that I was no longer going to read and carried on massaging her shoulder and neck for her I then move my hands down to her legs but as she wasn't in the right position, she lies down and i get under the covers to finish the job, whilst down there, I decide that maybe she is up for some extra fun and luckily I was right and Sunday night we made love, so maybe things are changing, slowly.

Hangover Horn
I don't know if this happens to women but after talking to friends and rading some discussion boards, this seems to hit mean quite often.
This is whether they are single, married or with partner, it just seems to strike whether you are still drunk form the night before or head pounding like there is a dinosaur jumping on your brain.
I doubt there have been any scientific studies on it, but I would love to know the reason, is it just a man thing and is it due to the hangover?
This happened to me Sunday morning but as i knew i was in the gf's bad books I did try to woo her by getting the breakfast in, which I thought might be a bit romantic, obviously wrong as maybe I should have cooked it and taken it to her, but it didn't have the desired effect for her or for me.
If you google it, you will come up with some interesting forums

Woman Speak
I just don't get why women can't just tell you something instead of dropping hints or you having to guess what they mean.
I had a good birthday weekend, Friday night the inlaws came round and we had takeaway and a session on the Wii, when they left me and the gf stayed up and watched some telly, we then headed to bed, on the way up the gf asked if I wanted to sleep in her bed, I said no don't worry as my son will proberbly get in as he hasn't been feeling 100% and that my snoring (which after a drink can be quite bad, so I have been told) might keep her awake. So we went to our own rooms and went to bed, well I lay down in bed and cried myself to sleep, I'm not sure why, but I thinkI was feeling unloved as I had had no affection from the gf, physically and only a bit mentally and just before I went to sleep I sent a shitty text "Thanks for not trying to have any sexual contact with me".
When I woke the next morning I didn't think much off it and carried on with stuff and washing up from the night before whilst the gf and my son were still alseep. My son woke and I sorted his breakfast out for him and we sat down together and talked about what we would do. When the gf got up things were normal and I took her to work and me and my son went swimming for an hour then for lunch in the cafe at the sports centre, the gf joined us as she didn't have any work to do. When I got home I told my son he could go and play with his friend down the road and I just faffed around the house being pretty bored, we then picked the gf up at half 3, we sat down and had a cup of tea, where she tells me that she got my message when she was at work and that when she asked me "Are you sleeping in my bed tonight" it wasd a hint that we were going ot have sex, normally when she says this, it is to just sleep in the same bed, so no wonder I had no clue that is what she meant. We then got ready to go out for the evening and dropped my son off at his nans and the evening began.
We met our friends at 7 and started catching up with the goss and whats been happening, more friends joined later and there was about 10 of us in total, all chatting and drinking, we then had to go to the next bar, we were supposed to be there for 9 and it was already half 9, so a group of them headed off to the pub inc the gf as she was to cold to walk and got a lift with a friend, whilst four of us went to the bar round the corner to break the walk up a bit. Once we finished our beer there we met up with the rest of the group and had a few more drinks. The oub we were at was closing for the evening so we headed back to pub number two but the gf was hungry, so we stopped of at the kebab house for a burger, when she asked me to pay I said only if you show me your boobies, this didn't work and I should have stopped there, but no, me and my fondness for boobies got me in to more trouble as i tried to pay for a friends burger, if she would let me see hers, alas it was a no and she paid for it herself, this was a bit of a downfall for me for the rest of the evening as the gf now wasn't happy with me and when we got home, no nookie again.
Sunday I dragged my sorry arse ouf of bed and wandered to the local shop,
1 to freshen my head up,
2 to have a smoke
3 to make up for last night.
So I get back and the gf is still asleep so I go and watch a film upstairs, she surfaces about 10ish just as our son is being dropped off. I then make myself a bacon sandwich and and go and play outside with my son. we ended up going out for some of the day with the gf's brother and his partner and her two daughters, we went and had chips by the canal and a play about with the kids which they loved. I cooked dinner for all of us and we then relaxed watching robots to try and get my son to sleep but he loves the film to much so afterwards I took him to bed and tucked him in. Me and the gf then cuddled up on the sofa for a bit, where I gave her a back and should massage.
Today I have also added myself to the relate waiting list, when on the phone I was asked if I would be bringing my partner, I said, hopefully.

10th Anniversery of my 21st
Today is my birhtday and luckily I have a few plans for this weekend.
Tonight the in-laws are coming round for a takeaway and a few drinks, so this will be the gf's mum and step dad and at least one of her brothers.
Saturday I am out with friends doing a bit of a pub crawl, so I think my alchol intake will be on the high side.
I got a card from my dad a couple of days ago which was nice, he apologised that there was no present for me, but the card was enough for me. I have no idea when I am getting for my birthday but I don't really care as long as i have a good time.
Hope you all have a good weekend

Can it
These peices of art were created just using cans of food.
Architect and engineers compete to see whose team can build the most spectacular structure using little more than cans of food at Canstruction, the 13th annual NYC Design and Build competition in New York . All these cans will go to the food bank afterwards.

T Minus 2 days
The weekend went very well and only on tiff really happened because of my mum staying, the rest of the time I made sure the gf was occupied or I was.
My mum took us out for dinner Friday night, just to a harvester type place, the food wasn't bad and my son had a great time as she had also brought him some Ben 10 activity books. we had a couple of glasses of wine and a coffee with the meal and it seemed to go quite well, that was until I got in. My gf was to happy about my mum coming to stay as she said it would upset my sons routine and it would tire him out to much, which I disagreed with, but as we got back a bit late Friday night, she decided she had to prove me wrong. It didn't really work as my son went straight to bed and didn't wake till about 8 the next day.
Saturday I took my son swimming and afterwards we popped to the shops and went home and played out in the garden playing swing ball and football, this tired him out a bit and after dinner near enough went straight to sleep. As my mum had been out all day Saturday I said I would eat with her, knowing she would be back a little late and that the gf and my son could eat together, which was another way around to stop the gf moaning about how late our son would be up. Mum brought back this massive fillet beef joint and that's what we had for dinner and I didn't have to cook once again, I was left with the washing up though but I didn't mind, its when i have cooked the dinner then am left to the washing up with after that bugs me sometimes but its one of those things.
On Sunday we had a lazy day at home as there wasn't much that needed doing, we me and my son played in the garden again, he loves his swingball set and is getting better with each it time which is great as he eye and hand coordination will be so much better, the gf came out a couple of times to play and to this date she still hasn't beaten me and I think it is annoying her a little but she can practice when ever she wants. Mum had been out for the day visiting my brother and her father in law who is in a care home since his wife passed away last year, he had a stroke quite a few years ago and was coping with it well, but with his wife now gone he can't do as much around the house as needed. when mum got home she had brought some burgers with her and we had a burger supper, with homemade chips and it was great, she also brought the gf some slippers and a new dressing gown as a thank you for her hospitality and to keep things sweet. Over dinner I had the usual ear bending of my smoking and why don't I give up blah blah blah and it was from both sides, so I went out for a smoke, when i got back in mum was asking me what I want for my birthday (this Friday) and I didn't have a clue, as most stuff that I need I have got and things I want I normally buy or just weigh it up if I actually need it, so yesterday I got home from work and there was a birthday card for me from my mum with a cheque for £200, bless her, so all I need to do now is bank it, withdraw it and put it in a safe place, as if I leave it in my account I may end up pissing it against the wall or just using it for day to day stuff.
Last year she gave me £300 as it was my 30th which I told her she didn't have to do, but with it I brought myself some little bits but also a new camera. So this year I would like to get something that I am going to get use out of, so any suggestions would be grateful.

Grinning Like A Cheshire Cat
Yesterday I had to pick the gf up form her mum's house as they had bene out shopping, when I got there I played with my son for a bout 5 mins before catching up with what they had bene up to and buying etc, the gf told me she had had her breasts measured, I had asked her to do this as for the past couple of months i had noticed that they had got bigger, she then told me that she was now a 34DD, I just couldn't keep smiling and as the gf was teling me her mum went past just sniggering to herself, I think she knew I was going to like the good news. So last night I was smiling and it really started to get on her nerves, so I went to bed early to stop myself getting in to any more trouble.
Whilst having dinner last night I received this text
"To my 2 sons I am sorry to have let you down over recent times I deeply regret it love dad"
as you may or may not know my dad has had money problems and i also had to go bankjrupt because of it, I didn't loko at the message straight away as I find it impolite to text or phone at the dinner table when people are eating, so when we had finished, about 5 mins after getting it, I just started and didn't know what to do as the worse possible thought came in to my head, suicide. I didn't know what to do so I sent 2 texts in a row
"Dad don't worry about it. You ok?"
"Where are you"
My dad then replied
"yes ok"
"Up north again"
So me again
"Don't send text like that it scares the shit out of me"
Dad
"Why i am not silly or weak just thoughtful"
me
"OK just making sure you weren't doing anything silly"
Dad
"No sorry to have given that impression"
Me
"i'll forgive you, just don't sends ones like that again, it scared me"
Dad
"OK but I honestley did not mean to sound like that, I just know I have been a royal pain in the bum just lately and i'm sorry for that"
me
"You have been a little, but what are families for"
so after all of that I had a beer and calmed down and relaxed, my blood pressure is amlost back to normal and the colour has now returned to my cheeks.
Have a good weekend all, mine should be fun as the Ducthess(Mum) is staying this weekend and I have already got on the wrong side of my gf.

The Kid is growing up
I had last week off work as my son was starting primary school and i wanted to be there for him. He only started on Thursday and is only doing 2 hours in the morning but what a big step it is for him.
We took him on Wednesday as they had a drop in session for the children so that they could get used to the surroundings and meet their teacher again and just to freshen up in their minds who they were, it was a good hour spent there and the teachers had laid on activities for the children to do, the first was to paint a peg to hold their wellies together, the second was to colour in a pebble which had their name on it, the third which my son didn't want to do was to make a clay model of the animal of which class they are in, so for him it would have been a caterpiller. When it was time to leave my son kicked up a fuss and said he wanted to stay and play and we had to promise him that we would bring him back the next day before he would leave.
Thursday being the first day of school for him went very well with no hitches, we took him in the morning for a 9 o'clock start and off he went, when we picked him up at half 11 he was all smiles and really pleased with himself, he seems to have settled in very well and I can't wait for him to start full time hours as I think he will get alot out of it.
Here he is in his school uniform, this won't be up for long though

I survived another Reading
What an awesome weekend, it started the Thursday and didn't stop till Monday morning.
Luckily I was one of the ones that booked my ticket last year for this years Reading, I feel for the people that got conned by buying from a fake site, I hope the people that took the money though go to hell, how dare they rip people off who have a love for music and fun.
It took me 4/5 hrs to get to Reading on Thursday, traffic jams on the M25 and M4 are not good and it was for trivial stuff, but oh well. After faffing about with my brother I finally managed to drop him and his mate off as well as the gf's brother and I made my way to my friends house, who wasn't there to meet me. I gave him a call and he said walk to the pub and I'll meet you there, result I thought, so I was sitting there and halfway through my first pint when his brother turns up, then D turns up and a couple of beers later we make our back to his to get ready to meet the rest of the Reading group, the group is Myself, Del (this is who I am staying with) Paul, Steve, Helli, Gen, Vicki (this was her 19th Reading festival).
We meet at the our yearly Reading meeting point, which is a nice little old pub that sells good beer and has a little beer patio for smoking. We sat outside and talked about Last years Reading and also what has happened in the past year, it was good catching up and the beer was flowing well, about 12am we were asked by the landlady to sit in doors as we were now having alockin. I remember going back to Steve's house and having a beer and a smoke, the next thing i am waking up on his sofa. This was fine as I knew how I got here but the problem that went through my head was was he close enough for me to walk back to del's?
My memory started coming back slowly and I remember that Steve was who we picked up before going to the pub and was only a 5 mins walk to Del's.
When i got to Del's he had left for the day to go to work and I found myself locked out, so I gave him a call and he told me he had left a key for me and in my morning state could I find the bloody thing no and it was staring me in the face, I knew this was going to be a good Reading. When I finally got in I went to bed to catch up on lost sleep. I woke to my phone ringing, it was Del, he called to tell me he had my ticket and that I would need to pick it up, I could have cried, I had no idea where to go or anything so I picked Styeve up and we made a 20-30 min trip to meet Del and pick my ticket up. What happened to my ticket you may be wondering, well I thought it was a good idea to leave mine and Del's ticket in his laptop so that I wouldn't lose it in the pub, but with Del not thinking properly in the morning he just took his laptop without looking, one of those things.
Once we droppped the car off me and Steve made our way tot he site and met up with the rest of the group and caught up with last nights topics and also my mission for my ticket in the morning. From here it gets very hazy for the rest of the three days, I do remember meeting up with some mates from work and also my brother a few times. A great time was had by all and also got the sunset of the weekend.

Reading is nearly here (or am I nearly there)
This weekend sees me off on my pilgrimage to Reading.
I will be going up Thursday afternoon, taking my brother and his friend and the gf's brother. Once there I will be dropping my brother and friend off at the festival site and me and the gf's brother will make our way to my friends house where we will be staying, No wet and muddy campsite again for me this year. Its not that I don't like camping, but after last year and being able to sleep in a proper bed, I just can't give it up now.
We are meeting the rest of the group in a pub at Reading Thursday evening where we will catch up and have a few beers to get us in the mood for lots of drinking from Friday lunch till Sunday night.
for those going and for those not here is the lineup
http://www.readingfestival.com/lineup/index.aspx
It is going to be a great year and fingers crossed that the rain holds of for the weekend, not just for me but for the whole of the UK.
I will update you with my weekend on Tuesday when hopefully the drink has worn off.

In The Dog House
I have always wondered where this saying has come from and doing a search on google, I didn't actually find any results I liked.
So after things not going to badly between us for the past week and a bit, we had our little tiffs but nothing major, that was until Wednesday night, I had got in from football and we had kfc as neither of us could be bothered cooking, I was just sitting down watching the footie when I could hear my phone ringing.
I answer the phone and it's my dads gf/partner, saying that she needs me round hers as I need to help my dad out, so I hang up and tell the gf that I need to help my dad out, she goes off on one saying you shouldn't help him, it was his fault you went bankrupt blah blah, so I just told her, he's my dad and I'm going, this upset my son a little bit, but this was because the gf was ranting and raving and telling my son that I was going, not why and that I'll be back.
The phone conversation was
you need to come round as your dad needs to get his stuff out of his flat as the landlandy is threatening to send his furniture to the charity shop first thing tomorrow and change the locks.
So i got changed and made my way round the her house, there I was told what was going on and that we were just waiting for my brother to turn up, when he finally does, we head to the house and start getting his furniture out, but before I have even moved a small amount of the stuff, i catch my finger and have to go to A & E to get it looked at.
I went to the local A & E but this had closed for the night, so I made the trip to the larger hospital where I waited nearly two hours before being seen, I then had the cut washed and the nurse told me I was lucky not to go through the tendon. I had it steristripped and then plastered over, I got home just after 1am.
Whilst at the hospital I had a few texts from the gf and the last one was "You better be on your fucking way home now" I didn't answer that one for obvious reasons. The next day I text her a couple of times to see how she was and I had no reply, this told me that she wasn't talking to me and was going to give me the cold shoulder. When I got in she wasn't talking to me then when she did, it was a cold.
Last night we took our son to the fun fair, her still not really talking to me, when my dad phones offering us his fridge freezer, its a big unit and he gave me the measurements for it, when I mentioned it to the gf she was adamant that she didn't want it and wants nothing from my dad. I thought this was a bit strong and didn't really talk to her about it, when we got in, I measured up anyway and found it won't fit anyway, I just hate the way she will dig her heels in for no reason and act like a spoilt kid. I think I have slept in our bed about 3/4 times now since we decided to get back together, one of the reasons its been so little is that I have had problems with blocked ears and have been using drops at night and instead of her having to put up with the smell of it i slept in my bed. Monday night I was so tired after work that I went to be at half 7 and didn't wake till 7 the next morning. Wednesday and Thursday night I didn't because of this problem with my dad and Tuesday I can't remember why, but to be honest I don't really care at the moment, because sharing a bed doesn't really fix anything and just covers the cracks.
Hopefully things will go smoother this weekend and next week I am off to Reading and I can't wait.

Circles
Well the gf and me seem to have gone round in a complete circle again, but it seems to be a good thing.
We had been passing texts back and forth when i was at work or she was out about what we are going to do and how things didn't change when we both thought they would, then Saturday, she asks me to sleep in her bed with her, I say no as I didn;t want her moaning at me for snoring or taking to much space, she looked a bit disheartened when I said this, but i went to my bed. Sunday and we are passing texts to each other as she is working and I ask was there a reason or purpose she wanted me to stay last night in her bed, she said no. Throughout the day we are still sending texts and when she gets home we talk for a little and she tells me she wants me back in our bed, she wants this to be the start of new things for us. I ask her, if she is sure about this, is it really going to work, she looks at me and say she hopes so and as she decided on this change without me forcing the issue or moaning about it I believe she means it, time will of course tell. We then had another chat and she is fed up of me asking for, joking about and making innuendos, so I have said, once again, that I will stop it and for the past three days I have been good as gold, in the hope she won't see this as pressure from me.
I know I have been here before with this, but at least the gf has made the first positive step and I hope a lot more will be made. I really need her to buy a new mattress as her one is killing me and I am surprised at how long she has managed to sleep in it, even my son, who sometimes gets in to bed with her, has complained that it is uncomfortable.

Weekend of the Stag Day 2b
All showered and changed, we still have half hour till the bus, so to the bar for a quick pint. I'm just finishing mine and a couple of guys have just got a drink in, when we are told we have to catch the bus, instead of drinking their beer, they leave it there and head for the mini bus (not the same bus or driver as for the rafting), as we are waiting they run back in and grab their beer.
Whilst waiting for the bus the stag comes out and he is once again all dressed up, trouble is there isn't actually much to his outfit, here he is
As mentioned before, the stag has stitched quite a few people up before and he new it was going to happen to him, but to not what extent. I have to say that with every costume or dare he was up for it and took it without a fight or getting arsey so I duff my cap.
Our first stop was a cash machine followed by dinner at The Hard Rock Cafe, I have been to the one in London and it was ok, this was was still ok but for totty spotting was excellent, the trouble was it was so good damn hot in there, I know Scotland doesn't get much sun, but they still could have put in Air con. We have our meal and there is a hen do on the table opposite and The Stag pulls out a dare, which is "To be Winded", The girls on the table got the hen to come over and the stag had to sit on her lap whilst being winded, the smile from his face vanished, but came back with in seconds, I think he did actually have wind.
From here we made out way to the strip club, which was a bit of a trek but at least we walked of some of the beer we had consumed. On the way the Stag was being stopped every few yards to have his picture taken, either by tourists or hens or just women in the street and the good thing was, there wasn't one bad word said from people passing. when we finally made it to the club, we were unsure if the bouncers would let him in, but they did, now being him and I also think he mentioned it, he was very nervous of this, as it wasn't a string fellow place, as you walked in you could tell it was for men and only men, we went in and he had a few funny looks but everyone just got on with it. We had our free drink token and whilst I was at the bar two strippers came up to the stag and started mothering him, but more of both of them pressing their boobs in to his face as if he had to suckle, this was also one of the dares. A couple of the guys went for a dance and before I had chance we were leaving as some of the group didn't fancy the strip club and the stag didn't want to leave anyone out, so we headed off to one of the many nightclubs that seem to be in Edinburgh.
When we arrived at the nightclub a few of the party were already in there as we had got split up from them on the way, how I don't know. We walked through and down some stairs and end up in this little bar, there was no way we could stay there all night, but then people were going past and so were alot of hen parties, so I followed them to see where they were going and the place had another three levels downstairs, so off we went. We followed the Hens and everyone else further down club and starting drinking and partying more. We met some great girls and also some strange ones, but was all pleasant. I decided that as we hadn't had any shots yet, just a lorry load of beer it would be great to do some, so off to the bar I go and order 23 Sambucas and 2 beers, They look ed twice when i ordered but got on with it, whilst waiting my mate gave me a tenner towards the cost, which helped out alot as when the drinks were ready the bill was £71, that is the most expensive round i have ever brought. After taking the drinks round, not many of the group were still with us, I gave some away to some girls, then me and my mate decided to finish the rest, think we had three more each, which kick started the system and the drinking carried on. Me and D left about 2ish I think and we thought we would go back to the strip club and spend what we had left in our pockets, but after hiking around for about half hour we found the club, but it was closed and nothing else in the area seemed to be open, so we tried to find a taxi, which being we were just on the outskirts was a bit difficult and we stopped at a bus shelter, there were about 5-8 people in it, but were having a good sing along, but in spanish I think, they had a guitar and bongo drums and we joined in making noise which we thought was singing, got bored and then finally found a cab. We got back to the hostel and headed for the bar, it was about half 3 and we seemed to be the only ones back from our group, so we had a couple and a few more turned up and then the rest, they had also been wandering the streets. D had enough and headed for bed and i just got chatting with the rest of the group and some girls from another hen party turned up and got chatting to them, it was about half 5 when the sun started coming up and the stag and a few others stripped of and decided to go for a jog and a swim, made bastards, I sat talking to Kate ( I think) when they turned up again and stood about naked drinking. The stag was talking to someone when someone from another group rugby tackled him and knocked the wind out of him and he was lying there for about 5 mins, the lads from the other group were swearing at him, when the stag got up, the lad was very sorry for what he had done and brought him a drink, everything then calmed down again. The hostel had closed the bar at about half 4 but because there were still quite a few of us opened it up again, then then closed it again about half 6 and we made our way out to the front just to chat and smoke, whilst talking away the barman came out and had a beer in his hand, I asked him where he got it from and he told me to ask at reception, so I did and we were served another beer, well I got a round of ten in and handed them out, a couple of lads that were with the one that knocked the stag down were out talking to us to and they also got a a few rounds in, the next thing we know its half 9 and time to pack up and get ready for out flight, I jumped in to the cafe and got some breakfast down me and then packed all my stuff. Once out the Stag is saying he wants to stay another night which I was up for but then realised it would be about £300 for a new flight and also I would need to try and get back from gatwick somehow. So I jumped in to a taxi with the rest of them and headed to the airport, in the bookings hall we all sat down and had a coffee then out for a smoke, which wasn't really a good idea, when we all checked in we had a pint at the bar and then headed through security, everyone was feeling and looking like crap, overall it was a bloody good weekend.
I got a text from the stag at 9pm Sunday night say, just got the train back and am in London now, waiting for train home. So he got back ok.
It has taken me a week to recover, would I do it again, Hell yes

Weekend of the Stag Day 2a
I woke Saturday morning in total agony, by head felt like it was ready to explode, I had had a headache from the night before that had started about 9pm (I think due to lack of water). My eyes felt like they head lead weights attached and if i looked in the mirror I am sure I wouldn't have recognised myself. I got myself down from my bunk and realised that I was still clothed from the night before, I remember getting in to bed, guess the body went in to shut down before I could do anything else.
As I woke, K from the bunk below also woke moaning someone had stolen his pillow, we found it stuffed in to one of the lockers, well it was my locker, but I have no idea who did it. So both feeling like crap we throw some clothes on and go for a smoke and a little walk down to the river, it was a crisp moaning and there was dew on the grass, which whilst going down the slope almost made me land flat on my backside, but I controlled it well and stayed up, just. D2 who was with us, who doesn't drink, thought it would be a good idea to go for a swim and with a little encouragement from ourselves, he rolled his shorts and was in, almost, he had the sharp rocks and pebbles to contend with, he strolled for about 1 min before he decided it was too cold and with his fit numb he made it back a bit quicker. We headed back up to the hostel and I didn't fall this time, we had another smoke and decided to head back to the room, it was about 8ish in the morning so some people were still asleep, but not for long, K jumped on D1 to wake him up which it did, but he wasn't in a happy mood, I was looking around the room for my paracetamol during this which couldn't be found, so I tried not to move my head very much, it was like doing the robot dance.
After a bit of mucing about we headed in for brekkie, well I did, somehow I can't remeber why they or how they had got in there before me and had all ordered the food and where halfway through eating it, I looked at the food and realsied that this wasn't going to be for me and went to the shop for water and more headache tablets, I brought the extra strength ones hoping that if it didn't kill the pain at least it would ease it a bit. I got myself some toast, 2 slices, and that took me about half hour to eat, I then had to try and work the coffee machine, there was free tea and coffee but you had to press the button for the hot water, well I couldn't find it so instead of looking like a prick I put my card in and got a black tea at extra strength as I hadn't removed my tea bag. We faffed more and got dressed for our rafting, we went outside for fresh air where we saw the stag, talked about wanting to be ill on the spot or to suddenly turn blind, he was there, Pink bikini Top, which he filled quite well, but then there was the bikini bottoms, and you know how this can hug a lady in that area, they clung to him like cling film and it wasn't a pretty sight, luckily though he had a rubber ring to hide his dignity.
We are all milling around outside, hoping that we could all just go back to bed, when the coach turns up to take us White Water Rafting on the River Tummel, we are still hanging about not getting on as one extra of the party has still to turn up. People start getting a bit impatient and got on the bus as at least it is comfortable, at last the last person arrives and we are off. The journey we find out is going to be about 1 1/2 hours, not good with a stinking hangover but we get through it and there are stories being told of the previous nights drunkeness. When we arrive the place to me is beautiful, I don't have any pictures though as left all valuable stuff back at the hostel, here is a youtube clip though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ9k6_H-vxw. This isn't the company we were with but you get the idea. The footage is worse that it actually was apart form the last drop we went down where I think everyone turned white, its amazing how many colours one person can change in one day, from greens to reds to whites.
After the rafting which I think took about 2hrs and one hangover gotten rid we headed back to get changed and get our photos, the lady doing the photos was having a bit of problem and as word had got round that my job is in computers, I had to step up and help out, which I did and was told that she wanted to take me home, I would have done but we had another night of drinking ahead.
We got on the coach for the journey back and everyone was cream crackered and we all basically sat in our seats in silence, but this could have been something to do with the driver and the minibus, the journey home was scarier than the rafting. We get on the road and after a couple of minutes the mini bus is lurching from side to side, I'm thinking we are going over and so do a lot of the others, the driver brings it back under control and tells us we need petrol, we park up (and I use this term loosely) at the petrol station , the driver gets out and goes to the tank and the bus starts moving, so we are shouting Handbrake at him, which we pull up but are still moving, the driver sticks his foot in and on the brake, E then puts the bus in gear to stop it rolling more. When leaving the petrol station there is a high pitched squealing, he had left the handbrake on, so he decides to try and take it off, but is steering us straight in to a fence which probably has a couple of foot drop, we just looked at each other and I think we have never sweated so much. The rest of the journey back was just as bad, he was tailgating, lurching and I think using the rumble strips on the hard shoulder to either use it as Braille or to keep him awake. We get back about half 6, all glad we are back and head of for showers etc.

Weekend of the Stag Day 1
I'm just going to list the days as I remember them (and yes there are blank spots)
Friday Day 1
We had to be at the airport for a 12:15 flight to Edinburgh, so we would want to leave about 9ish to get there in time, no not us. I left my house at 7.30 am after getting up at 6.30, that is earlier than a work day for me, but hey got to do what you got to do.
So we leave and pick up the third of our party and make our way to Gatwick, just chatting away in the car wondering what is going to happen to the stag. We get to the airport and get the car picked up and check in, we only have hand luggage but decide to check it so that we have nothing to carry with us till the other end, once all cleared its time for brekkie and we go to the Red Lion and order food and as I sit down to wait, D asks what I'm drinking, its to early for beer for me, so thought I would have something refreshing, G&T, it really does go well with breakfast. Breakfast arrives and the three of us are sitting there and slowly more of the group turn up, first one, then three, then theres 15 of us, the stag then arrives and he has been on a few stag does before and has stitched quite a few people up, well one of them got their own back, this was tame compared to what was to come, Him being a avid Arsenal fan, the rival team is Spurs, well they made him dress up in the whole Spurs football kit, including Hat and Scarf. He wasn't happy about it and it looked like he had escaped from a care home.
So we have a couple or four beers and get on the flight, we hadn't booked our seats together to were spread around the plane, the behaviour was alot better than I imagined, as we are taxiing I think I will get an hours kip in then when we land I'll feel great, how wrong was I, we take of I have had about 10 mins sleep and I hear the drinks trolley, I wake up and have just missed it, bu the chap next to me gets the air host (is this the male name) and I order a G&T, I get chatting the man next to me and he is a Scot and there's about four of them and they have just come back from a cruise, which landed at Dover and are heading home to Scotland. We get chatting and the next thing another G&T is in my hand, this goes down smoothly and as I am talking another one arrives, well it is a stag do, so I go with the flow, just as I am finishing we are coming in to land.
Once landed the first job is to find the loo and then retrieve our bags, once through all of that we meet in the bar at the airport and have a quick pint and find our way to the taxis. Once in the taxi we have got to remember where we are going, luckily E who organised it remembers and we are on our way. When we got to the hotel, well not really a hotel, a Hostel with a bar (Globetrotter inn), there's us and some have already arrived making it 22 for the weekend and just one to arrive the next day.
We were staying on the shore of the Firth of Forth and the views were amazing, from the back of the hostel was a long sweeping lawn with some lovely old tree that had been there for centuries it seems, then there was the river itself and there were two or three island doted about, which if you use Google maps you can see.
When we have all queued up and got our keys to our room we unpack and sorted our clothes out and head to the bar, now this is where it gets hazy as I'm not sure what really happened here, as I only remember going from the hostel in to the City, when we get there we are a little early for the comedy club so head to the bar underneath, we have a couple there and larking about then we head in, now I have been to dingy places and this was another one of them, I think I was expecting some posh place with great tables and lights etc but it wasn't that, but it was loads of tables layed out and many of them were stag and hen parties. I really don't remember much from in here apart from going outside a lot to have a smoke and getting confused as to why it was so light outside but dark inside. There were loads of jugs of beer being passed about a some shots also came out, I do remember getting moaned at by staff for being to noisy, but what I was saying or doing I can't remember. Near the end the stag and his brother almost got a bit lary, but was sorted soon enough as I got the stag and carried/held on to him, till we got out then went in for his brother who was getting arsey about the deposit we didn't get back, once out and all troops gathered and calmed down a bit, we found out another of out group had collected the deposit and all was now good. We got 2 taxis back to the hostel where the drinking carried on, I feel asleep in one of the chairs for awhile then went to bed.
The taxi rates in Edinburgh are superb, from what I can gather, they don't charge time and a half or double time, so most taxis we got was £10 or less by a couple of quid and it wasn't a short journey, about 15 mins.
Didn't really see many sites that evening as we were stuck indoors as the comedy club turns in to a club/dance floor afterwards.

It nevr Rains it Pours
Well since my last post, i'm not really sure what has been going on.
during the week after the text, I have tried to do my own stuff when I've been in the house, but having dinner etc with my son, trouble is I think the gf/exgf has forgotten about the test conversation we have, as she is wanting to try and do couple things. Friday and Saturday night we had bit of a movie fest and watched about 4/5 films over the weekend but sitting on separate sofas. Saturday during the day we went out with my son as it was the Harbour festival and we also went with her mum and step dad, so doing the family stuff.
Sunday morning I got really confused, I was going past her bedroom when she called me, I went in and she asked me to get in to bed with her, I was clothed but thought why not, she was naked and when she put her leg over me we cuddled, now I know I'm a man and can't read signals but I thought this was a signal for us to have some fun, so I run my hands all over her body and to between her legs, but she stops me and moves my hand, so I cuddle a bit more, then try again, thinking she is playing hard to get, how wrong was I, it wasn't hard to get it was impossible, she didn't want any contact that was sexual at all. Now to me, what she did, by getting me in to bed and getting me close to her and wrapping her leg round was a signal for some fun. I know that I was wrong but how many other men would have thought the same as me, or women for that matter?
When she had gone to work I took my son out for a little while and when we got home his friend came round after which I took my son swimming. When we finished we all went home and i cooked dinner for us, after which we sat down and watched Horton Hears a Hoo (well I watched some then fell asleep for awhile). I then took our son to bed and read him a story. I then did the usual and got my ironing and took it to my room to do. Whilst ironing away she came up just to say hi so I said why doesn't she stay and watch her program as I had nothing to watch now so she did.
So after finishing what I could be bothered with I started to watch the program and give her a massage as she had been working hard that day, stupid me I know but I didn't see the harm in it and carried on. She then layed on the bed and I massaged her all over, after taking her top and shorts off. When I done this she told me no playing with her hairy bits, so this was a clear signal that sex wasn't going to happen or she wasn't in the mood, but I kept massaging and also my hand kept wondering, sometimes it would get tapped away other times she let it linger, after a couple of more times like this I kept my hand there and played with her, now I like my sex to last a bit with foreplay and touching from both parties, but she lay there as I carried on, she told me to get a condom on if I wanted sex, I told her I just wanted to play for now and carried on. So whilst playing she came and I thought we would have some more fun, but no, she got in a mood and said "I told you if you wanted sex, that it had to be then" she started moaning at how we don't do things as a couple and about watching films on different sofas and she just wants to be able to cuddle without thinking I am going to try anything, I took note of this but I don't think it is going to make any difference as she still said she doesn't like sex anymore.
So thereis my rant, and yes I can see where I went wrong now and I will not be trying anything or massaging or doing couple things anymore as it is time for me to get my arse out of there.
Also forgot that I got a call from my Dad Sunday morning, he rang to tell me that his landlady wants him out as he is £300 in rent arrears and also about £450 arrears in electricity, now my dads credit is crap as he lost his previous house and probably has a number of defaults against his name, so trying to rent somewhere will be hard for him and also he has no deposit for anywhere else, he explained the situation to his landlady about his job and that as soon as his criminal record check has gone through he will be working and will be ablt to pay her, but she is exercising the one months notice on him as he had signed a 6 month tenancy but that lapsed about 4 months ago, he has asked if I have any ideas to let him now, but I have no clue where to start.

I think the fat lady has sung (well the gf)
Todays text messages
gf "Im in a mood now, there is a program called hitlers secret bunkers on channel 5, guess when"
"Tonight about 9 "
"Tonite at 8. Its not fair "
"We can do something tonight to take your mind off it "
"Sod off "
"I just thought it might be a way for you to relax "
"Just sod off "
"Stop being up tight "
"Im not "
"Then what are you being, hard to get? X "
"Just leave me alone "
"Ok "
"Look its over between us. You can carry on living here or find somewhere else its up to you "
"Why?"
"Because i still cant give you what you want "
"But what is stopping you? "
"I just dont want it "
"Well we can't say we haven't tried "
So looks like I am going to need to start looking for a new place to live as I don't think we can live together like we tried before as it just didn't work that well.

Bastard Cats Bastard Morrisons
What has a man got to do.
Friday after work I helped a friend get their broadband back up and running and on the way home I called the gf to tell her I was on my way, as i got no reply I left a VM for her, with this I guessed she was having an afternoon nap whilst my son was, so I decided to get my haircut. I text the gf to let her know that, if it wasn't busy this is what I would be doing, so get my haircut and go home. She is in bed my son in his so I was correct, but she starts moaning at me.
"You've had your haircut"
"Yes I text you to let you know"
"but our son needs his doing"
"I'll take him tomorrow"
"and i wanted to go in to town"
"We still can"
"Well you could have waited, now tomorrow is going to ruined"
"If you say so"
and I walk out of the room and wake our son up.
So we forget about town and end up going to tesco for dinner bits, we find nothing and end up with KFC.
After dinner and I have put our son to bed I see if she fancies a bath to relax, to which she says would be great. She spends about an hour in there, with me popping in now and again (once to have a shave, just in case things heat up) and another to bring in her a glass of water and massage her shoulders and arms so get her back in to relax mode. When she gets out she goes to bed and i am left on my tod, so go and watch a film and go to sleep.
Saturday we had someone from the department of nosey people, a surveyor for a housing survey being carried out by the government and also the landlords round. So up early to give it a quick clean, well for me it was as the gf wasn't feeling to great so I had to do most of it (again) and had to let the visitors know that the main bedroom was out of bounds. So the surveyor did what he had to and when he went the landlords arrived so I chatted to them over coffee and they had a look round just to make sure there was no work that needed doing or we hadn't trashed the place.
The gf got up around half 10ish and got dressed and we go to town and do a couple of bits and do some shopping again in the supermarket, once again forgetting things so we pop in to the other one on the way home. The evening was spent on the sofa once my son had gone to bed, but when she switched casualty on I went upstairs and left her to it.
I had a bit of a lie in on Sunday as I didn't need to be up for anything this time and after the past few weekends with my mum staying or taking my son for his swimming lessons was nice. Once up me and my son had brekkie and he went and watched his cartoons as I sorted out the beds and stripping for washing, with all that done I cleaned the kitchen up hung the washing out and played in the garden for a while. Lunch time was over quickly and time for our weekly swim.
before i left though I had put out some chicken and sausages to defrost in the garden, now normally i stick it all in a lunchbox and put a lid on, this time I just left it out with the cling film on, so off we went for a couple of hours. On our return there was a cat sitting on the table in the garden and its head was in the chicken, I flipped, I ran to the back door and was banging away, the cat looked at me and I swear it smirked and carried on, so I got the back door key and ran out, the cat vanished and I was left pissed off, my son was upset as that meant no barbecue, so off we went to morrisons as it is quite close, but they had sweet FA in that we could use, so we picked up a few things and made the best we could. Evening was spent with me upstairs as she was watching Midsummers murders and I can't stand it, once again no action and on my tod, but hey at least I got to watch what I wanted.

He's Done It
My Dad passed his Taxi drivers test, which means that he is now working, which he has been trying to do for ages now but no bugger would hire him, he can now start paying me back.
I am really pleased for my dad as he hasn't been working for a while now but not for want of trying, he had applied for quite a few jobs, but never seemed to get any responses back or he was to qualified, I think this was for a delivery job, which at the time he didn't care what job he got as long as he had one. The taxi job he will be doing 5 days a week I think and the company loan him the car etc and my dad should be clearing about £400 a week after paying them. He was getting downhearted with the pass two fails but I told him they do this sometimes to make sure that you are a competent driver.
For me this means no more lending money and hopefully he can start paying me back some, I don't want it in a large some otherwise my OR might want some of it, but as long as he only pays the money back for the taxi test I should be fine.

What a Cracker
What a great weekend I had.
I managed to go to the cinema twice this weekend and see two great films, Wanted and Kung Fu Panda. I saw wanted with a friend and wanted to do something different than just get drunk, also we both had to be up early the next day. It is a great film if you like action and it also had a bit of a story line, there were a couple of twists to. Kung Fu Panda was very funny and I took my son and his uncle to see it, this was my sons first cinema experience and I was a little nervous as to how he would be, luckily the film was only an hour and a half long, so he sat through about an hour and fifteen mins before getting a bit fidgety, but I told him it wasn't long to the end and he just wiggled a bit till it finished. He did have a toilet break half way through so I think this helped. My son thoroughly enjoyed it as did I, they showed some trailers for other kids films and he looked like he would like to see them to, which as he was so good I did say I would take him, as long as they aren't longer than an hour and a half.
My sons swimming is coming on a lot better and the gf asked to book another lesson and the instructor said don't bother wasting your money, he is going great and just needs to build his arm strength up, so I now know what I need to do when I take him for his usual Sunday swim.
Me and the gf seemed to get on ok over the weekend, I do admit snapping at her a few times though as everytime she spoke it seemed she was just whinging or it might be that was all I could hear, this also seemed to happen over the past week to, but I blame myself for this. I blame myself as when my mum was down she said that all the gf does is whinge so I think this is why I picked up on it more than usual, but I have turn the whinge filters on now and just listen to when she is actually saying something.
I went against Raes advice and did loan my dad the full £200, stupid I know, but he shouldn't fail the third time and as long as he doesn't, he should be earning around £400 a week take home, which will help him in paying me back and me replenishing my stag and festival pot and also start repaying what he owes me. If I forget about the money from the house for the moment he owes me £780 which will be great to put £500 in to the pot and the rest in to the bank, where I can then arrange to get my car serviced.
I have been holding back with asking the gf about sex but instead been sending texts saying, "why don't we spend some time in bed together tonight, instead of her moaning that all I want is sex she has been polite and said, not tonight or we will see. So I think this way is working slightly better, even though I am still not getting any.

In a Jam
My dad has asked me if I can lend him some money so that he can take his Taxi driving test to get a taxi licence, the problem with this is that it will be the third time for him to take it and I paid for the first two.
First time was £200, this was to pay for his test and all the other bits that go with it
Second Time £80 as he failed the first one I thought second time would be no probs for him, I was wrong
Third time He is not late for his rent and needs to sit a third test, problem is he is trying to get together £200 and he asked me for £100 of it, if I do that will be £380 or £480 if I lend him the full amount
Now my dad lost his house a little while back and as he had loans out in my name and I was also on the mortgage I was asked to repay alot of money, which I couldn't afford so I had to go bankrupt (I did have a loan so not 100% his fault) but I have lost 10k that I invested with him/in his company/in his house, I wasn't sure what he used the money for but gathered as he was paying me £300 a quarter did it matter, well it turned out it does as I have got nothing back, technically I also lost another 10k as I was supposed to get this when he sold the house, which he didn't sell in time.
So I'm not sure what I should do, do I lend him the money and tell him that's it and I can't afford anymore if he doesn't pass, but if he does pass, at least he will be able to start paying me back, the trouble is I am not that flush since going bankrupt as I no longer have access to credit cards etc as this would tie me over till i get the money back. I do have a small fund tucked away which I wasn't trying to dip in to as I have set it aside for a stag weekend and the end of this month and the Reading festival at the end of August.

The Ductchess comes to visit
My aunts has come up with a nickname for my mum, its the Ductchess, my mum is a wanna be snob. She is from Scotland and didn't have the best up bringing but also not the worst that could have happened.
When she was 16 my mum left home with no qualifications and hitchhiked from Scotland to London, not an easy feat back then, 1970ish I think, as unlike now the car was still a luxury item, but it was safer then (or so we are told about the old days).
She made it to London and what she did for work I'm not sure as I have never really asked her, in 1977 I was born and unfortunately for my mum by biological dad didn't want anything to do with me and even suggested to my mum to get me aborted but she told him in two words what to do and he did.
So from then my mum was now single (my aunt had now also moved down to London) started trying to do the best for me and from what I can remember she did very well in bringing me up.
Fast forward to now, my mum has remarried and has been married for 10 years, at first I was shocked that she was getting married , but i think this is because I never saw my dad(not biological dad but been there for me since I was 3 1/2) and mum being apart ever, but I am very happy for her now. She is running her own company (with help from her hubby) and doing very well for the both of them.
The trouble with my mum at heart she is very Scottish and when she is around my aunts and had a glass or two of wine the home roots soon come back out and so does the Scottish accent and the effing and jeffing flows. When she isn't around my aunts or the wine she can be quite la di da and she will tell me off for things that I never thought I could get told off for, whilst eating and still holding my knife and fork instead of placing them on the plate to the sides and silly things that I see as upper class antics. She will slip up though, she will be telling me to do something but then go off on a tangent and out comes the Scot in her and I will just smile and chuckle to myself.
On Friday my mum arrived with gifts in hand for my son, she brought him the Ben 10 fx watch and four arms, the watch wasn't to bad until Sunday morning came and my son was trying to wake me, he decided to hold the watch to my ear and produce as much noise as he could from it, it worked, I got up and sorted him out. Dinner time didn't go exactly as planned as my mum was supposed to be buying a fillet joint from the butcher but got there about 5 mins after they had closed, which if I had known earlier I could have told the gf not to make a dinner for her and my son, the gf doesn't like steak much, fussy I know.
Saturday I took my son for a swimming lesson whilst my mum and gf watched, he did really good and just needed to strengthen his arms a bit more. I took him home and managed to get him to have a snooze as I knew it was going to be a long day for him as he also had the opening of his pre school to go to and he also wanted to go down to the beach. It was quite a windy day but as my son really wanted to go down the beach we ended up taking him but he wanted to go in the water, when I saw the size of the waves I told him no, which he was a little upset about until a large wave crashe don the beach and he decided that may be he didn't want ot now go in.
In the evening mum was last back from doing her bits and peices. I waited to have dinner with her whilst the gf and my son ate as this time my mum had managed to get the steak. After dinner the gf went out with some friends and I sat talking to my mum trying to right my life and the world.
When the gf got in I was just finishing the washing up, so we headed off to bed as my mum had already retired for the night. We put the telly on and i started massaging the gfs feet and then moved up to her legs, but as she had her jeans on I got her to take them off, I then moved up her legs to her thighs then to her buttocks, I pulled her thing off as it was getting the way and massage more of her bum and back, I moved back down her legs and seeing as she had had a drink or three, I thought she might be feeling a little amorous, but i was wrong and she told me to stop as " i know what you get like" so I stopped and got in to bed and went to sleep, so another weekend of no nookie.
