The past week wasn't to bad, got the car back last Monday and they had replaced the radiator and Air hose, for a cost £2 shy of £200. I think the hose had been broken for a while as all the faults that I had previously have now all gone.
The weekend was good but also a lot of arguing. I was supposed to go out Friday night to a mates house but as i had played football Wednesday and help another mate with his pc Thursday nigh the exgf decided to be spiteful and said she is going out Friday to which I said fine and left it at that.
When I got home Friday she had/was asleep on the sofa so me and my son went up to my room and played on the ps3, we went down a little later and i cooked dinner for us all, where she turns round and tells me she is not going out, so instead of saying anything i carry on. Friday night just pans along.
Saturday we need to be out the house early as need to get to the bank to pay the rent due to new bank account not set up just yet, then we take our son to the park along the sea front and meet up with one of his friends. We stay there for about 2hrs with them darting all over the place and having fun. We then go and do a quick shop for some essentials.
We got home and and faffed sorting things out and chilling. Then she informs me she is going out, which was fine with me, for some reason we have a fight and she tells me she wants me to move out as she can't do this anymore. So off she goes after dinner (as she is walking out, I ask does she still want me to move out, her reply was no)and i put our son to bed and chill out in my room on the ps3.
I go to bed but get woken with a start when I see her walking in to my room (its amazing when your asleep you can pick up on signals), she sits on the bed then starts going off on one telling me she doesn't need me and that she can cope fine on her own and that she is not sponging of me and I need to appreciate her more. This was due tot he fact I moaned that she could have given all of the money that was being paid in to her account (from my wages) instead of just the rent, that she was doing me the favour.
I'm not sure what she was getting at but I was so tired I almost drifted off to sleep.
Yesterday I took my son swimming and he had a great time, I cooked us a roast (she moaned I put garlic in with the chicken). After i put our son to bed I got the ironing out (yes just mine as I had so much and will be tackling more tonight) and started doing that, whilst she was watching TV, i had been ironing for a while so asked if she was making tea, the reply was no, so after a couple of items I went to check on my son and made myself a cup, I wish I hadn't, she started to go off on one at me, I took it that she didn't want one, what it was really, was she was waiting for her program to end. So then she starts bawling at me, telling me she wants me to move out, that I am selfish etc. So I said fine I will move out then, but give me a little time was trying to find a place when bankrupt is not going to be easy and I need to save for the deposit, she was telling me to move in with my dad or brother. My brother is house sharing with students and no room for me and my dad is in a studio flat and sleeping on his sofa, she told me to take my sleeping bag with me. When she saw that it made sense for me to maybe not go, she decided she was leaving but our son would have to stay with me and I would need to sort arrangements for him during the week/s until I could move out, so I said fine I'll drop him off to you in the mornings, I got a backlash for that to, saying why should I do that as when she is a single mum she will need to do that as well as sort out a new job.
I carried on ironing and when i had done what I needed/bare to do I put the stuff away and went and made my sons and my sandwiches for lunch, as I was doing this she came down with our son as he still hadn't gone to sleep and we had a cuddle, I think that was a kind of sorry and make up, but I have decided if it comes up again, then I will be contacting my mum and asking if she can bail me out with a deposit and as guarantor for a place as I can't do this anymore.

Debt worries
I just wanted to do this post after all the worriesd I had about my bills, debts etc.
I know there are people out there who do have debt problems or who may just want to see if they can stop spending more than they earn or just tidy things up.
This website that I used was very good, you get great advice from lots of people and they can be harsh but they mean well.
I would suggest you have a lurk about rwading what people are going through and the advice given.
http://boards.fool.co.uk/Messages.asp?bid=50079
If then you do think you want them to help you, you will be asked to post an SOA (Statement of affairs)
They will go through it and suggest ways you can cut back on etc.
For the SOA go here http://boards.fool.co.uk/Message.asp?mid=10720247
If you find it usful let me know
Cheers

B-DAY +1
As of yesterday I am offcially bankrupt.
This is how it went for me.
The bankruptcy blues kicked in on Tuesday when my car broke down, go tthe RAC out and have burst the radiator, have some money aside for car repairs already, hopefully enough to pay for it.So Wednesday morning my dad picked me up as I needed a lift and we left at just after 9, it was going well till we got stuck in traffic on the motorway, then along a country road where two lorries decided to turn round, going gets better then we come to part of the road that they have blocked off as someone has got stuck in a very large puddle due to all the rain, we then detour through the country lanes and finally make it to the court with 2 mins spare (opens at 10am), I had phoned them to lket them know I was going to be late but they said don't worry, they don't really run an appointment system, just turn up and wait.
So once at court I go to the enquiry office and let them know i'm there, then about 20 mins later I am seen by a clerk and he went through the forms with me to make sure it was all filled out correctly, he asked a couple of questions to clairfy a couple of things.Once that was done he asked me to wait at the counter so I could swear in etc. he did pick up on something that he said the judge mught want to talk to me about, he said wait in the canteen and he would come and get me if the judge did need to see me, if not go back just before twelve for paper work etc.As I hadn't heard anything from him by 11.15 I waited in the canteen, Tea is expensive in there. Went down just before 12 and waited and waited as were another 5-6 people. then at one a clerk came out and told us that the judge had been so busy that day he wouldn't be looking till after 2pm, they said we could come back or leave, if we wanted to leave, leave a contact number and they will let us know when its done, so most of us left. I did ask what if the judge wanted to see us and they said at this point it is very unlikely, I also asked about opening a new bank account and was told that will be fine.
I called my brother and he gave me a lift home, once home went in to town and went to halifax to give them my ID and the account should be open in a couple of days, have my wages being paid in to the gf's account this week. While walking in town had a missed call on my phone, rang the VM and it was the court telling me it was now official and paperwork is in the post 1st class.
So day 1 was alift to work by dad then a lift home by recovery with car and now working from home today.

B-Day -1
Well tomorrow is the day when I sign everything I have of asset (apart from furniture etc) over as I will be declaring myself bankrupt, it will be to a tune of 170k, which is a lot of money and I wish I did have to go down this route but it is the only one that I can afford to do.
I have withdrawn the fees that will have to be paid and got some money out for living expenses till pay day. All forms have been filled in and are ready to hand in.

Riddle me this
I have been asked to go on a stag do in July, which I calmly mentioned last night and had my head chewed off.
She was dubious when she thought it was for one night, when I told her it was for the weekend she blew her top. She was moaning that she would have to take the time off work and use her holiday up. I told her that I would pay for her time off and she could throw a sickie.
So Win Win i thought then she moaned she always has to take time off for when i want to do things, the only other time this year I will be away for the weekend is for Reading. I know where she is coming from as before I used to go to Spain once a year for a golf which I have now stopped doing the past two years. For the time away that I am after the max time off she would need is four days, is it really that bad??
I have booked the flights already as we are going to Edinburgh as they are very cheap at the moment and as i won't have any cards as of next week due to bankruptcy thought I would get it out of the way.

Some Mothers do have 'em
I have to say that I take my hat of to single parent families and working mums of young children.
Yesterday I got in from work and it was no stop. I sat down for 5 mins then started to cook dinner, whilst I was doing that I also put some beef in the oven that needed to be cooked off for my sandwiches. When i had cooked the dinner and dished it up I sat down again with the exgf and my son and ate that, then I was back in the kitchen and making pudding, ok it was just opening a few times and sticking it in the microwave, but this took more time and energy out of me, when that was eaten (and I could hardly move after eating to much) it was back for me to be in the kitchen to clear the rubbish etc from the sides that I had left, yes I know I should have cleared as I went and I did for dinner just not pudding. I left the washing up for the exgf to do today and got all the washing that needed to be folded from the kitchen and took it in to the lounge where I could fold it watching the TV and also have a bit of a rest.
I have to say that I could not do this everyday and admire the people that do, I was cream crackered by the time I had finished folding the washing, a lot of it was mine so didn't mind to much. I don't know where single parents and working families get there energy from.
So what about Christmas, well it was very very very good.
I managed to get out to the pub a few times and have a laugh with friends, my son absolutely loved Christmas day and the time I was off and was utterly spoilt. Christmas Day he had his presents from us then in the evening his presents from His nan and grandad as well as uncles and Aunt. He is at the perfect age now to, he slept till about half 8 but when he got downstairs the look on his face was magic, he couldn't believe what had been left under the tree for him and the first thing he did, was to check that Santa/Father Christmas had eaten his gingerbread and drank his milk as well was the reindeer drinking their water.
I would list here what he got but my memory isn't that great and I don't have the hours, he did love his Electric quad bike and his push bike. Rest of the toys he also loved but seeing him on his push bike was great and hi picked it up so quickly I was amazed, his friend had a go but he kept trying to peddle backwards.
New Years eve was spent round a friends house and a good time was had by all, we watched TV chatted and drunk and I was fine till just after the bells chimed and I went outside for a smoke and when I came back in I was slaughtered, I think mixing beer, Jack Daniels, fizzy wine and Champagne was not a good idea. I got up at 11am New Years Day as my head was killing me, I went downstairs and got a couple of headache tablets as I went back up my son and exgf were in the same bed and fast asleep, so I went back to my bed and woke up at half 2. I didn't feel as bad but the exgf and my son were up and had had lunch and were dressed. I got dressed and we picked the car up.
Since a time over Christmas we have definitely said we are now no longer together and things in the house have been going a lot better and we even had sex Sunday night just gone. I know its a head screwer but hey it was when we were together.
