We all go to Haven

We had a great weekend, 7 of us in total went to Haven, we didn't stay in a caravan but on of the chalets.

The weekend started for me at 12pm Friday when i left work and went home to help sort things out for our weekend away, the gf hadn't started any packing when I got and hadn't done much around the house, so I asked if there was anything I could do, "make a tea" so that's what I did, when we finished that it was a dash to the supermarket to get supplies for the weekend as the two girls had made a list and split what each half was getting, good plan I thought and it worked out well except the gf did add a couple of extras but nothing wrong with this. Once the shopping was done it was back home to unpack the shopping and pack the clothes. I did the washing up whilst the gf packed the suitcase, luckily I double checked what she had packed as she had missed one of my t-shirts.

Once we had picked my son up and packed the car up we just had to wait fir the gf's brother and family to turn up, which they did about 4 and we hit the road. I was the lead driver so took the route I thought would be easiest for us all and also so that I wouldn't lose them, we got close to where we were supposed to be and I took a turning which I thought was the right way, nope, then took another wrong turn and we ended up going back on ourselves, I then took a few more turns an realised that I wasn't completely lost but best try and find driections some how. I phoned up Haven and told them where we were and someone with a good local knowledge told us exactly the right way to go and if I had stuck to the way I should have gone and knew we would have been there about half hour before. I will say though that the signposts were crap, the only one that I saw that resembled anything to do with haven was "Caravan show this way".

Once we found the park and checked in we went to our chalet and unpacked the cars, I couldn't believe how much stuff we had for the weekend, there were toys for the kids, clothes for all of us, beer, food and drinks. After settling in we went for a walk around the site and to the bar/restaurant area as it was a little late and most of us couldn't be bothered cooking. We found the main area and the food and drink prices weren't as bad as I thought they would be and the food was quite nice, it was alike weatherspoons/Yates type pub area and the service was good.
