I'm just going to list the days as I remember them (and yes there are blank spots)
Friday Day 1
We had to be at the airport for a 12:15 flight to Edinburgh, so we would want to leave about 9ish to get there in time, no not us. I left my house at 7.30 am after getting up at 6.30, that is earlier than a work day for me, but hey got to do what you got to do.
So we leave and pick up the third of our party and make our way to Gatwick, just chatting away in the car wondering what is going to happen to the stag. We get to the airport and get the car picked up and check in, we only have hand luggage but decide to check it so that we have nothing to carry with us till the other end, once all cleared its time for brekkie and we go to the Red Lion and order food and as I sit down to wait, D asks what I'm drinking, its to early for beer for me, so thought I would have something refreshing, G&T, it really does go well with breakfast. Breakfast arrives and the three of us are sitting there and slowly more of the group turn up, first one, then three, then theres 15 of us, the stag then arrives and he has been on a few stag does before and has stitched quite a few people up, well one of them got their own back, this was tame compared to what was to come, Him being a avid Arsenal fan, the rival team is Spurs, well they made him dress up in the whole Spurs football kit, including Hat and Scarf. He wasn't happy about it and it looked like he had escaped from a care home.
So we have a couple or four beers and get on the flight, we hadn't booked our seats together to were spread around the plane, the behaviour was alot better than I imagined, as we are taxiing I think I will get an hours kip in then when we land I'll feel great, how wrong was I, we take of I have had about 10 mins sleep and I hear the drinks trolley, I wake up and have just missed it, bu the chap next to me gets the air host (is this the male name) and I order a G&T, I get chatting the man next to me and he is a Scot and there's about four of them and they have just come back from a cruise, which landed at Dover and are heading home to Scotland. We get chatting and the next thing another G&T is in my hand, this goes down smoothly and as I am talking another one arrives, well it is a stag do, so I go with the flow, just as I am finishing we are coming in to land.
Once landed the first job is to find the loo and then retrieve our bags, once through all of that we meet in the bar at the airport and have a quick pint and find our way to the taxis. Once in the taxi we have got to remember where we are going, luckily E who organised it remembers and we are on our way. When we got to the hotel, well not really a hotel, a Hostel with a bar (Globetrotter inn), there's us and some have already arrived making it 22 for the weekend and just one to arrive the next day.
We were staying on the shore of the Firth of Forth and the views were amazing, from the back of the hostel was a long sweeping lawn with some lovely old tree that had been there for centuries it seems, then there was the river itself and there were two or three island doted about, which if you use Google maps you can see.
When we have all queued up and got our keys to our room we unpack and sorted our clothes out and head to the bar, now this is where it gets hazy as I'm not sure what really happened here, as I only remember going from the hostel in to the City, when we get there we are a little early for the comedy club so head to the bar underneath, we have a couple there and larking about then we head in, now I have been to dingy places and this was another one of them, I think I was expecting some posh place with great tables and lights etc but it wasn't that, but it was loads of tables layed out and many of them were stag and hen parties. I really don't remember much from in here apart from going outside a lot to have a smoke and getting confused as to why it was so light outside but dark inside. There were loads of jugs of beer being passed about a some shots also came out, I do remember getting moaned at by staff for being to noisy, but what I was saying or doing I can't remember. Near the end the stag and his brother almost got a bit lary, but was sorted soon enough as I got the stag and carried/held on to him, till we got out then went in for his brother who was getting arsey about the deposit we didn't get back, once out and all troops gathered and calmed down a bit, we found out another of out group had collected the deposit and all was now good. We got 2 taxis back to the hostel where the drinking carried on, I feel asleep in one of the chairs for awhile then went to bed.
The taxi rates in Edinburgh are superb, from what I can gather, they don't charge time and a half or double time, so most taxis we got was £10 or less by a couple of quid and it wasn't a short journey, about 15 mins.
Didn't really see many sites that evening as we were stuck indoors as the comedy club turns in to a club/dance floor afterwards.

Sounds like my sort of weekend, starting with a drink!
Hope the hangover wasn't too bad for Day 2!
