Weekend of the Stag Day 2a

I woke Saturday morning in total agony, by head felt like it was ready to explode, I had had a headache from the night before that had started about 9pm (I think due to lack of water). My eyes felt like they head lead weights attached and if i looked in the mirror I am sure I wouldn't have recognised myself. I got myself down from my bunk and realised that I was still clothed from the night before, I remember getting in to bed, guess the body went in to shut down before I could do anything else.

As I woke, K from the bunk below also woke moaning someone had stolen his pillow, we found it stuffed in to one of the lockers, well it was my locker, but I have no idea who did it. So both feeling like crap we throw some clothes on and go for a smoke and a little walk down to the river, it was a crisp moaning and there was dew on the grass, which whilst going down the slope almost made me land flat on my backside, but I controlled it well and stayed up, just. D2 who was with us, who doesn't drink, thought it would be a good idea to go for a swim and with a little encouragement from ourselves, he rolled his shorts and was in, almost, he had the sharp rocks and pebbles to contend with, he strolled for about 1 min before he decided it was too cold and with his fit numb he made it back a bit quicker. We headed back up to the hostel and I didn't fall this time, we had another smoke and decided to head back to the room, it was about 8ish in the morning so some people were still asleep, but not for long, K jumped on D1 to wake him up which it did, but he wasn't in a happy mood, I was looking around the room for my paracetamol during this which couldn't be found, so I tried not to move my head very much, it was like doing the robot dance.

After a bit of mucing about we headed in for brekkie, well I did, somehow I can't remeber why they or how they had got in there before me and had all ordered the food and where halfway through eating it, I looked at the food and realsied that this wasn't going to be for me and went to the shop for water and more headache tablets, I brought the extra strength ones hoping that if it didn't kill the pain at least it would ease it a bit. I got myself some toast, 2 slices, and that took me about half hour to eat, I then had to try and work the coffee machine, there was free tea and coffee but you had to press the button for the hot water, well I couldn't find it so instead of looking like a prick I put my card in and got a black tea at extra strength as I hadn't removed my tea bag. We faffed more and got dressed for our rafting, we went outside for fresh air where we saw the stag, talked about wanting to be ill on the spot or to suddenly turn blind, he was there, Pink bikini Top, which he filled quite well, but then there was the bikini bottoms, and you know how this can hug a lady in that area, they clung to him like cling film and it wasn't a pretty sight, luckily though he had a rubber ring to hide his dignity.

We are all milling around outside, hoping that we could all just go back to bed, when the coach turns up to take us White Water Rafting on the River Tummel, we are still hanging about not getting on as one extra of the party has still to turn up. People start getting a bit impatient and got on the bus as at least it is comfortable, at last the last person arrives and we are off. The journey we find out is going to be about 1 1/2 hours, not good with a stinking hangover but we get through it and there are stories being told of the previous nights drunkeness. When we arrive the place to me is beautiful, I don't have any pictures though as left all valuable stuff back at the hostel, here is a youtube clip though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ9k6_H-vxw. This isn't the company we were with but you get the idea. The footage is worse that it actually was apart form the last drop we went down where I think everyone turned white, its amazing how many colours one person can change in one day, from greens to reds to whites.

After the rafting which I think took about 2hrs and one hangover gotten rid we headed back to get changed and get our photos, the lady doing the photos was having a bit of problem and as word had got round that my job is in computers, I had to step up and help out, which I did and was told that she wanted to take me home, I would have done but we had another night of drinking ahead.

We got on the coach for the journey back and everyone was cream crackered and we all basically sat in our seats in silence, but this could have been something to do with the driver and the minibus, the journey home was scarier than the rafting. We get on the road and after a couple of minutes the mini bus is lurching from side to side, I'm thinking we are going over and so do a lot of the others, the driver brings it back under control and tells us we need petrol, we park up (and I use this term loosely) at the petrol station , the driver gets out and goes to the tank and the bus starts moving, so we are shouting Handbrake at him, which we pull up but are still moving, the driver sticks his foot in and on the brake, E then puts the bus in gear to stop it rolling more. When leaving the petrol station there is a high pitched squealing, he had left the handbrake on, so he decides to try and take it off, but is steering us straight in to a fence which probably has a couple of foot drop, we just looked at each other and I think we have never sweated so much. The rest of the journey back was just as bad, he was tailgating, lurching and I think using the rumble strips on the hard shoulder to either use it as Braille or to keep him awake. We get back about half 6, all glad we are back and head of for showers etc.

Geez that's a bit strenuous to be doing on a stag do! In my book it's normally drinks for breakfast and keep on going drinking!
